So, i'm behind in updating, so I won't update all that I need to. Just the things that stick out in my head. It's been so hot out for the last 2 weeks, and yesterday just was horrible in the music den. But, I believe today has cooled off more, so it won't be as bad.
This past weekend was celebration weekend since Justin ended his time at Tetra Tech. Saturday we rented "Team America, World Police", hence the Subject title. It was a pretty funny movie. We went swimming, and drank some very delicious Sam Adams Cherry Wheat beer (now one of my favorites). Sunday was Logan's graduation party for the family. It was nice to see his family. During the day Justin, Al (family friend), and I started to have a jam session. Al loves to play Justin's drumset when he comes over, and while Al was playing set Justin grabbed a pair of hand-drums. I was listening to them, but then after a while I grabbed my flute and then trumpet from my car and started to play. It's VERY hard to improv over nothing but a drum beat, but when I got into it, it was alot of fun!
Monday and Tuesday was alot of cleaning, when Justin and I went to Stanhope and cleaned out, well, STARTED to clean out his science room. So much crap, and the guy before Justin certainly did not have alot of organization skills. I'm very excited for Justin, and I know that he will be a great teacher, although when we were sitting in the Stanhope parking lot on Monday morning I didn't know whether he was just gonna turn the car around and drive home. BUT, of course he didn't!
Coming Up for me in August: hopefully a lesson or two with Jeff. Trip to Great Adventure, another day cleaning at Stanhope, mini vacation with Justin!
Well, it's time to get ready for work. I'm just so glad that it's cooler out today.
